“A little girl goes into the woods to visit a mysterious house…“
For my second-year graduation project at animation school, I was tasked with a unique challenge: to design and animate a building and its façade, bringing it to life in a short video.
Drawing inspiration from the eerie charm of the movie Monster House, I wanted to create something that felt both creepy and whimsical, with a touch of childhood nostalgia. I decided to craft a building that was overgrown, swampy, and full of character, as though it had a life of its own, hiding secrets behind its moss-covered walls. The goal was to make the façade not just a backdrop, but a living, breathing entity that would evoke both wonder and unease, capturing the spirit of an animated world where even the most ordinary structures can be extraordinary and alive with personality.
