King of Meat (2022)

Back in 2022, I had the amazing opportunity to do a 2-month internship at Glowmade, a UK-based video game studio.

During my time there, I primarily worked on prop concepts for their upcoming game, King of Meat. It was an incredible experience. Under the supervision of Adam Sibbick and the creative team, I got to explore creative designs, contribute to the game’s unique visual style, and collaborate with a super talented team. It really helped me sharpen my skills in concept art and gave me a deeper understanding of game development.

Concepts

Props – Treasure Items & Hit Boxes

My first task was to draw a few props, from treasure items to hit boxes, some more extravagant than others.

Stickers

Another one of my tasks was to draw stickers, either ones that a player can get from a skin or ones that are used to guide the player in tutorial areas. In either case, they can be put on surfaces by anyone in the game!

Props – Weapons

Here’s a few general concepts for global weapons or training equipment.

Most of my work afterwards consisted in drawing concepts for specific skins. Here’s a few example and, sometimes, its 3D model.
